Rokudo Mukuro. [ yeah, the fact that he exists is something that fundamentally bothers Hibari... ]

[And Mukuro is sure that Hibari would love nothing more than to wipe him from existence. That's what makes him so fascinating. Mukuro has never met anyone with such a high level of determination... except perhaps himself.]

[ w o w that word is pretty offensive to Hibari... but since they're in Namimori, he doesn't want to get too trigger-happy... or at least, not yet. ]

I'm not sure. Is it considered foolish to taunt a weaker opponent? [Yes, he's asking for it.]

I wouldn't know. I don't engage in such childishness. [ he is about a hair's width from snapping, Namimori's sanctity be damned. ]

If I don't have to think about it, it's not even interesting enough to be considered a battle. [ more like a massacre - or a pastime, depending on whose perspective it's coming from. ]

[It's a pity that his taunts have proven ineffective. Mukuro can remember a time when Kyouya would jump at the chance to fight him, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

If taunts no longer work, then Mukuro will just have to take a more direct route. He brandishes his trident and advances on Kyouya.]

Very well then. Let's see if you can think on your feet.

[ now they're speaking in Hibari's language. With a smooth movement, he brings his tonfa up, not waiting to answer with words but with actions - of course he can think on his feet, that's why he's making a point of attacking first. ]

[Mukuro grins as he brings his trident down on Hibari's tonfa. The harsh metallic clash is music to his ears. It thrills him in a way he can't quite describe.

The moment Hibari takes a swing at him, he's gone. Vanished in thin air. He reappears standing ten feet away. If he's learned anything from the last time they fought it's that he needs to stay back from onslaught his opponent is sure to unleash.]

... Disappointing. [ he doesn't like an opponent that plays the defense so carefully, it makes things uninteresting. Instead of attacking head-on again, he considers his options - after a moment or two, the flames from his Vongola Ring flare up. ]

[On one hand, Mukuro is impressed that his opponent has decided not to attack head-on again. Perhaps he also learned something from their previous encounter? On the other hand...]

Are you still using that ring, Kyouya? I'm afraid this fight will be terribly unfair.

[He touches one of his Mist Earrings dangling down from his ear, causing it to shimmer in the light. Mukuro quite certain how he wound up with a version of Hibari who is still using the Cloud Ring before it was broken, but it doesn't matter. Vongola Gear is far superior to the old rings. Perhaps they shouldn't continue the match.]

Save your breath for when you beg for mercy, Rokudo. [ that said: yeah, his Vongola Ring isn't going to be much of a match for the Vongola Gear, realistically speaking... though that won't stop him from giving it a good go. He opens his Cloud Box, unleashing the little hedgehog inside and allowing it a moment or two to greet him before it begins duplicating. ]

Kufufufu... [Unfortunately for Hibari, this is nothing Mukuro hasn't seen before. He may not be able to mimick the attack the way Daemon Spade did, but having seen a powered-up version of it, he should be able to handle it easily.

What sort of illusion should he use? Should he make the hedgehogs disappear in the mist? Or maybe he should make a bunch of creepy eyes pop out next to the spikes? Theatrics don't work well on Hibari though, so it would be better to turn his own attack against him instead. As the hedgehog multiplies Hibari may find them all headed in his direction instead of Mukuro's.]
