05. FOREVER ALONE: Let's face it. You'll never fall in (requited) love, and what better day to lament it than on the most lovey-dovey day of the year? Spontaneous tears and rambling soliloquies to anyone and everyone about how you'll never find true love included.

I-It's fine, it's only a few yen, Gokudera-kun.

[following him with a sigh, he was kind of hoping this day would be over already. Way too exhausting]

That's really generous of you, Tenth!

[Gokudera checks the tickets and leads them into the right room. He figures it'll be better once they're sitting in the dark. No one will bother them there. Luckily, they got in just in time for the opening credits. No annoying theater commercials.]

...so, where do you want to sit?

Just round the middle somewhere.

[walking down the steps carefully. Hopefully he doesn't trip on anything]

[Gokudera notices how careful the Tenth is being and keeps an eye out for anything that might trip him. He helps his boss down the aisle carefully. It looks like the theater's been cleaned recently. There aren't any popcorn boxes lying around and the floor isn't sticky.

He chooses a nice row somewhere in the middle, away from some of the other movie watchers, and helps Tsuna shuffle in and sit down.]

Is this okay, Tenth?

Yeah, it's fine.

[smiles at Gokudera thankfully as they settle down into their seats. There weren't that many people here today, huh?]

[It's been awhile since the movie opened and it's still pretty early in the evening. The big crowds will be here later on. Gokudera squeezes Tsuna's hand a little and he grins as he looks up at the screen. He's really been looking forward to seeing this move.]

[The movie is pretty cool, even if just for the giant robots and explosions. But it's been a long day and Tsuna finds himself drifting off near the end of the movie]

I saw it... once

[Gokudera is really into it, so he doesn't notice that the Tenth is falling asleep. He gets caught up in the action easily, and some of the special effects are really good. He tugs on Tsuna's hand. His boss has to see this!]

Look, Tenth! He just turned into a fighter jet!

[So much cooler than a car or truck.]

[Tsuna doesn't reply. He just flops to the side, against Gokudera, fast asleep.]

Tenth? [Aw, he's asleep. Gokudera won't wake him. Tsuna can nuzzle into his shoulder all he wants. Gokudera squeezes the Tenth's hand softly, wishing he could put it around his boss's shoulder instead.

He stays quiet until the end of the movie and then shakes Tsuna gently.] Hey, Tenth... it's over.

Mmmn?

[he nuzzles against him a little more, rubbing at bleary eyes]

Already?

[Is it supposed to feel this good to be nuzzled by your boss? Gokudera wonders sometimes.]

Yeah, you missed some of the best fight scenes, Tenth! And the biggest explosions!

Can't believe I fell asleep through all of that.

[he yawns, only to draw back with a blush when he realizes how much he had been clinging in his sleep]

S-Sorry, Gokudera-kun, I-I hope I didn't make your arm go all numb.

You missed the big fight between Optimus Prime and the Fallen!

[He blushes a little when Tsuna draws back. It wasn't that bad, was it?]

Not at all! You kept me nice and warm, Tenth! It was getting a little drafty in here anyway!

Ah--I did?!

[NO THE BEST PART.

Oh god, going fire engine red. H-HOW CAN GOKUDERA SAY SUCH THINGS SO OPENLY AND ASDFHSDFSD]

I--That--UM--I-I'm glad?

Yeah, but Megatron ran away like a coward in the end.

[But it's no big deal! No one is listening anyway. They're all walking away and talking about the movie.]

It's too bad. I really wanted to see Optimus Prime kick his ass.

There's always next movie, right?

[we should start getting out of here too]

Yeah, but you've really gotta see this one, Tenth! It was great! Maybe we can go again when you're not so tired?

[Or dressed like a girl. It'd be nice to go as friends. Gokudera is in such a good mood that he might even let Yamamoto tag along. He needs to remember to bring enough money for popcorn and candy next time... but for now, it's time to go. He gets up and starts shuffling toward the aisle, pulling Tsuna along behind him.]

My favorite part was when Jetfire gave his parts to Optimus Prime. Did you see that, Tenth?

[Jetfire didn't show up until near the end of the movie. Gokudera is pretty sure Tsuna was asleep by the time they revived him with the AllSpark, but he asks anyway.]

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun.

[He'd be much, much more comfortable with things when he wasn't dressed up as a girl anymore. It'd be nice to have Yamamoto along too. It's been awhile since they've gotten to do anything together for fun. Tsuna follows, taking care not to trip on anything]

Um...I-I don't think so? I'm pretty sure I missed most of it.

He's the one who turns into a stealth jet! He used to be a Decepticon, but he switched sides and started fighting for the Autobots... [Gokudera starts with an enthusiastic tone, but it turns serious and a little sad here.] ...and then, after he and Optimus were wounded, he sacrificed his life so Optimus could defeat the Fallen!

[While he was watching it Gokudera thought, I would do the same for you, Tenth! ...except for the dying part. He has to live so he can watch the fireworks with everyone. Still, it was so touching! Gokudera is having all of the feelings! aesifslief! AND HE IS TOTALLY NOT CRYING RIGHT NOW, OKAY?!]

O-oh...I-I wish I watched that part at least.

[...Gokudera, come on, it's just a movie about giant robots, right? Patting him awkwardly on the hand]

[But he died so Optimus could save the day, Tenth!

Okay, Gokudera is just... going to rub his eyes and pull himself together. Crying over a movie is silly, no matter how touching it is. There we go. See? His smile is back on now.]

It's okay, Tenth! We'll come back and see it later!

[For now he just wants to fix this problem with their hands stuck together. Shamal said it would happen after the date, so maybe he has to take the Tenth home first?]

[squeezing his hand in response. Well, lets see what would happen then]

[Gokudera walks Tsuna out of the theater and toward home. On the way he starts to wonder exactly what it will take to get their hands unstuck. They're nearly to the Tenth's house, but nothing's happening. The movie was the date, and it's over now... but maybe the date isn't officially over until they say goodbye?]

Hey, Tenth... is there something you're supposed to do at the end of a date?
